A visit to the Maenam sanctuary is a necessity if you are visiting Tendong. This massive asylum is located just over the Tendong hill and spans 37 square kilometres. This asylum's high elevation and diverse terrain make it ideal for hikes, nature walks, and bird watching. There's a huge variety of wildlife within. Red pandas, marble felines, woofing deer, normal slope partridge, civet felines, goral, and other animals can be found. There are also a diverse range of birds, including a variety of fowls, blue-necked Pittas, and jaybirds.

Best time to visit: November to May is a decent time to get clear views of the mountain tops. Anyway in winter it snows abundantly here.

TENDONG HILLS AND STATE BIODIVERSITY PARK

Tendong has a reputation for being a popular hiking site in South Sikkim. The Tendong Hill walk starts at Damthang, 13 kilometres from Ravangla. The hike begins in the Damthang market and continues for 6 kilometres to Tendong Hill Top, taking 5 to 7 hours to accomplish.

On a ridge, this is a little expanse of land surrounded by lush tree cover. Tendong is thought to have a strong connection to otherworldliness. Tendong had been chosen as the location for the lamas who had dedicated their lives to contemplation. If you proceed about 500 metres north of this addition, you will come to the Sisne Mandir, a magnificent refuge. In January, Jorethang hosts the wonderful Maghe Mela, which includes a variety of social activities such as handcraft, food festivities, and a melody party.

Best time to visit: All year. However, the winters are grandly more excellent

SIKIP

Roosted pleasingly on the banks of Rangeet River, Sikip is one of the most renowned destinations of South Sikkim. You will hear it alluded to as a fishermen heaven. There are a lot of streams here abounding with angle and the laidback mood is ideal for day long trips. Stream boating down the Rangit is a favoured activity here. Best time to visit: All year but the best can be enjoyed during the month of March to May and October to December.

RAVANGLA

Ravangla, a sleepy village in South Sikkim, has recently gotten a lot of attention because of its big gleaming magnificent Buddha statue. Another notable creation of the Sikkim government in the area of religious tourism is the newly completed Buddha Park. Ravangla is a hilltop village with breathtaking views. RAVANGLA
